BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

HFCU & MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Fundraising for the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual fundraising initiative for HFCU that we are proud to be a part of. 







2021 FUNDRAISER INFORMATION

From Monday, September 27th through Saturday, October 30th, all 12 HFCU branch locations will begin fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. 


Employees, members and those in our communities can stop in and donate in increments of $1, $3 or $5 to support this impactful initiative.  Those that donate will receive an American Cancer Society "pin-up" with their name that will proudly be displayed in our branches. 


Your generous donations directly support raising lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey.

The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to unite communities in the fight against the deadly disease. Today, Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation. They raise money to help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide patient services like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, and a live 24/7 cancer helpline.

VETERAN'S FOOD DRIVE

HFCU & CASTLE POINT & MONTROSE VETERAN'S HOSPITAL FOOD DRIVE

Each year we participate in the Castle Point and Montrose Veteran’s Hospital food drive through the NYCUA. In the month of October, we encourage our members, the communities we serve, and our employees to donate any non-perishable foods and other items. All items can be placed in our collection bins found at all HFCU branch locations.

TOY DRIVE

HFCU & ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH FOOD PANTRY TOY DRIVE

Every year Heritage Financial Credit Union has participates in the Toy Drive on behalf of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Food Pantry in Newburgh, NY. The Toy Drive works to sponsor children of all ages in Newburgh during the holiday season and provide them toys. With the overwhelming response and generosity we have received in years past, we are pleased to participate in the Toy Drive once again. 


St. Francis of Assisi parish food pantry provides emergency food assistance for families in need of all faiths and backgrounds in the Newburgh area. Since 1997, their volunteers have been providing groceries to help the local hungry free of charge. The Food Pantry is a member agency of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.


TOY DRIVE DETAILS

This years Toy Drive will begin on Monday, November 8, 2021 and will end on Tuesday, November 30, 2021


  1. Select a tag from the fundraiser poster that contains the age range and gender of a child who will receive a gift.
  2. Purchase an appropriate gift for the tag selected. For the 9-12+ age group, only gift cards will be accepted with a maximum value of $25. 
  3. Bring the unwrapped gift with the tag attached to the HFCU branch nearest you by November 30th, 2021.

February is Heart Health Awareness Month, and every Heritage Financial Credit Union conducts a fundraising event for the American Heart Association in all 12 branches of our branch locations. Be on the lookout for the 2022 fundraising details in the near future!

HFCU & MARCH OF DIMES 2022

Every year Heritage Financial Credit Union has participates in the March of Dimes fundraiser to support mothers and babies everywhere. The fundraiser goes on in the months of March and April and our team members partake in the March of Dimes annual walk. Be on the lookout for the 2022 fundraising details in the near future!
