BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

HFCU & MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Fundraising for the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual fundraising initiative for HFCU that we are proud to be a part of. 

FUNDRAISER INFORMATION 

DATES: October 1st, 2024 - October 31st, 2024

LOCATIONS: All HFCU Branches 



WALK AT THE WOODBURY COMMONS

DATE: Sunday, October 20th, 2024

LOCATIONS: Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, 498 Red Apple Ct Central Valley, NY

TIME: 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

VETERAN'S FOOD DRIVE

In the months of October and November, we encourage our members, the communities we serve, and our employees to donate any non-perishable foods and other needed items to initiatives that benefit our local veterans. All items can be placed in our collection bins found at the HFCU branch locations listed below.







FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES BY BRANCH

GOSHEN, MONTGOMERY, AND WASHINGTONVILLE

These three branches are collecting non-perishable food donations for the Orange County Veteran's Food Pantry. 


DOLSON AND RYKOWSKI

Both branches are accepting non-perishable food donations for the Orange County Veteran's Agency from October 1st - November 11th. 


CENTRAL VALLEY

Our Central Valley team is collecting non-perishable food donations for the food pantry at the Castle Point & Montrose VA Hospital.


MATAMORAS

Beginning Tuesday, October 8th through Friday, November 15th, the Matamoras team will be collecting supplies for the Veteran's Outpatient Clinic in Port Jervis. Additionally, the Matamoras branch will be hosting a special Veteran's luncheon on Tuesday, November 12th. 


PINE BUSH

Join our Pine Bush branch in collecting non-perishable food donations for the food pantry at the Castle Point & Montrose VA Hospital.


SOUTH PLANK

The South Plank branch in Newburgh is collecting non-perishable food items until Friday, November 1st.


NEW PALTZ & SUNY NEW PALTZ

Our New Paltz branches will be collecting non-perishable goods until Friday, November 22nd. 


HERITAGE PARK BRANCH

From October 10th through November 11th, the Heritage Park Branch has teamed up with Heritage Financial Park to collect non-perishable foods to benefit the Castle Point VA.

TOY DRIVE

HFCU & ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH FOOD PANTRY TOY DRIVE

Every year Heritage Financial Credit Union has participates in the Toy Drive on behalf of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Food Pantry in Newburgh, NY. The Toy Drive works to sponsor children of all ages in Newburgh during the holiday season and provide them toys. With the overwhelming response and generosity we have received in years past, we are pleased to participate in the Toy Drive once again. 


St. Francis of Assisi parish food pantry provides emergency food assistance for families in need of all faiths and backgrounds in the Newburgh area. Since 1997, their volunteers have been providing groceries to help the local hungry free of charge. The Food Pantry is a member agency of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.


FUNDRAISER INFORMATION 

DATES: To be determined 

LOCATIONS: Newburgh Branches (Corwin Court and South Plank) 



  1. Select a tag from the fundraiser poster in our branches that contains the age range and gender of a child who will receive a gift.
  2. Purchase an appropriate gift for the tag selected. For the 10-12+ age group, only gift cards will be accepted with a maximum value of $25.
  3. Bring the UNWRAPPED gift with the tag attached to the Newburgh branch nearest you by December 6th, 2024.
