February is Heart Health Awareness Month, and every year Heritage Financial Credit Union conducts a fundraising event for the American Heart Association in all 12 of our branch locations.
From humble beginnings, the AHA has grown into the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. A shared focus on cardiovascular health unites our more than 40 million volunteers and supporters as well as our more than 2,800 employees.
Every year Heritage Financial Credit Union has participates in the March of Dimes fundraiser to support mothers and babies everywhere. The fundraiser goes on in the month of April.
March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies to provide them the best possible start.
For 80 years, March of Dimes has helped millions of babies survive and thrive and continues to build their legacy to level the playing field for all moms and babies, no matter their age, socio-economic background or demographics.
Fundraising for the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual fundraising initiative for HFCU that we are proud to be a part of.

Each year we participate in the Castle Point and Montrose Veteran’s Hospital food drive through the NYCUA. In the month of October, we encourage our members, the communities we serve, and our employees to donate any non-perishable foods and other items. All items can be placed in our collection bins found at all HFCU branch locations.
Every year Heritage Financial Credit Union has participates in the Toy Drive on behalf of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Food Pantry in Newburgh, NY. The Toy Drive works to sponsor children of all ages in Newburgh during the holiday season and provide them toys. With the overwhelming response and generosity we have received in years past, we are pleased to participate in the Toy Drive once again.
St. Francis of Assisi parish food pantry provides emergency food assistance for families in need of all faiths and backgrounds in the Newburgh area. Since 1997, their volunteers have been providing groceries to help the local hungry free of charge. The Food Pantry is a member agency of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
