Online Account Opening For Deposit Products

We have an enhanced way to apply for new deposit products quickly and easily through online and mobile banking! 

MX Money Management Tool 

With MX you have the ability to link all of your external banking accounts and those you have with HFCU to see a full picture of your finances! 

3.1.24: Expedited Processing is when transactions, like buying groceries with your debit card, show up (post) on your account quickly, allowing you to see accurate account balances in Online and Mobile Banking, Telephone Banking, and at any of our ATMs.

With Expedited Processing, you may see your available balance update faster following a transaction, allowing for a clearer picture of your account balances and available funds. While most transactions will appear quickly, it is important to note that dependent on the merchant (business) that you are purchasing an item from, some transactions may take some extra time to post (show) in your available balance. Expedited Processing can also help you identify and respond to potential fraudulent charges by monitoring transactions earlier. This gives you the ability to act on any issues quickly and easily.

3.1.24: Through our System Upgrade, our online application process for our deposit products, such as but not limited to; savings accounts, checking accounts, certificates and money markets, will provide a simplified and enhanced experience for you. This means you will be able to add new deposit products to your relationship and fund them digitally through online/mobile banking, without needing to call or visit a branch.

On Monday, May 6, 2024, after logging into the new online/mobile banking

platform, you will be able to apply for additional deposit products through your

online/mobile banking account. 

Addition 3.18.24: Please be aware, that although unlikely, from Monday May 6, 2024 through 3:00pm on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, debit card transactions made using a PIN based transaction on the NYCE network, a network that supports ATMs and various Point of Sale (POS) systems in stores, may be declined. If this happens to you, we ask that you put the transaction through as “credit” and the transaction should go through without issue.

3.1.24: While your current HFCU Debit Card will have no changes, when it comes time for you to receive a new card, you will be issued an enhanced card with the contactless payment capabilities. In simple terms, when paying with your card, you will now have the ability to “Tap” to make your payment. This technology better protects you against counterfeit card fraud, and gives you an easier and more secure experience during your transaction. If you want to get a new card following the Upgrade Weekend, ahead of your current cards expiration date, you can stop into your local branch or call us at 845-561-5607 to request one.

3.1.24: Once our new online and mobile banking platforms are made live, you will have access to MX, our money management tool!

This tool is an all-in-one solution that will allow you to securely and safely link all of your banking accounts at HFCU and accounts you may have at other financial institutions to access them in one place. This allows you to get a full picture of all of your finances with ease.

From seeing percentage breakdowns of where you most frequently spend your money to budgeting tools, this money management tool puts you in control of your financial future.
